Grand Master

Grandmaster is a Indian neo-noir thriller film directed by B. Unnikrishnan, starring Mohanlal, Narain, Anoop Menon, Priyamani, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Babu Antony in the lead roles. The film is produced by UTV Motion Pictures. The film was released on 3rd May, 2012 to mixed response from the critics.

Mohanlal takes up the role of a divorcee in the film,Grandmaster. He lives alone in a dark and violent city. Even when unlawful incidents take place around him, he withdraws himself from all responsibilities and is happy to live quietly. But he is forced to change and take up his duties and responsibilities. Like a grandmaster who anticipates his opponents moves well in advance, he proceeds forward. But once, just once, he makes a fatal mistake.The plot of the movie is an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s detective novel The A.B.C. Murders.
